Insomnia

So I have been here almost two months and my sleeping schedule is still out of wack. I am still not used to it. So I don't sleep much at all. It sucks I have never had this insomnia problem and I am here to say I would not wish it on my worst enemy. You just lay there thinking of things you wouldn't normally have time to think about like worrying about something I said to someone in high school. So if I apologize to you for something you know why. Or when I am just laying there I will think of things that sound so insightful and deep so I try to remember when I wake up and it is never as cool as when I am deep in my own thoughts. I also found out Adam is a sleep talker. the other night he started saying "Brunes lets put in another movie " and then he laughed (he calls me Brunes) Knowing me I bet I was even witty in his dreams.

It is a cruel thing insomnia. If anyone has a remedy for it let me in on it I have time to try anything. It is now 2:30 a.m and I might try "When Harry met Sally" maybe Meg Ryan can put me to sleep.

i was surprised to see that you commented already on my blog. And I tried to see you on facebook but thought, oh it's too late. But not so. I'im sorry about your sleeping sched. I hate not going without sleep. Do you nap a lot during the day?
i'm glad teaching is going well. Is it with the mormons that your teaching with? Well, hope to catch you online sometime. Love ya, and the kids aren't forgetting you.

Brittany - I get insomnia all the time - it sucks. I know how you feel. And, I really don't have anything to say that will make it better. Yet -- I hope you are having a good time.

I usually turn on the t.v. or a movie, it always works for me. Good Luck, insomnia sucks.

Two words: Old Testament. I just have to read a few verses from there and I feel the lids starting to close. Worth a shot. If not, you may learn about the lineage from Adam on.

Brit, I am terribly sorry about your lack of sleep. I think I know how much you like your sleep. Unfortunatley I dont have any answers except you might want to try excersizing before bed, that seems to work well with me, knocks me right out. Also, yes we actually have been thinking about having kids sometime. But first I am donating to my sister so not for awhile. That is so good about teaching. I am so jealous that you get to have all these awesome experiences! Keep having Fun!

When I worked nights I would have that problem of waking up (when I wasn't working) and being wide awake. Sometimes I would read and that would relax me to go to sleep. If you need and can get it, Benadryl works great for going to sleep and a co-worker said he used melatonin (an herbal supplement) to help him sleep after he'd done a string of nights. You could try those but I'm not sure how regulated the meds would be over there...there's always counting sheep, I guess. Or listening to Adam which is more fun. I also discovered Jake talks in Portuguese in his sleep. (:

haha. me! no you are having the best experience! im so so jealous that you get to see the world and do things! me im stuck in logan:( hopefully not for long! and the Kevin thing... well i have always had a crush on him, i don't know i just think he is a very attractive older man. thanks! im trying to get this decorating thing down, hopefully i can get into the program and finish this school nonsense! i miss your face!! we will have to play games when you get back!

Hi Brittany! I'm Tennille...a friend of Adam's from high school. So I've seen your blog a couple of times and I just think that is so awesome that you guys are having a huge adventure together in Thailand!! I couldn't help but comment on your post...I have insomnia like the freakin plague! I actually have resorted to sleeping pills because it got so bad. Currently, I take an herbal sleeping pill called Tryptophan...it's similar to the effects of melatonin. Sometimes it helps, but most of the time it doesn't. When it doesn't, I literally have to say the word SLEEP in my mind over and over so that I"ll stop letting my mind wander. Also, focusing on your breath can help...taking deep breaths and such. Good luck...I definitely wouldn't wish insomnia on my worst enemy either :)

Thanks Brit!Yeah I didn't mind beauty school but now that I'm out and I cant get my license its really wearing on me! I hate that school! I'm actually going to go to estititon school hopefully very soon. I'm really excited about that! When are you guys coming back? I heard you didn't have your license either.. maybe when you get back we can study or something!

I'm glad you have your license! Thats so wierd!! Thats another reason I hate beauty school!! They tell lies!! I heard that from one of the instructors I dont remember which one it has been awhile though I think in November. Yeah I can't seem to get my license because I haven't taken Mini Boards and because Ros says I didnt take my 1500 or 1800 tests. (BTW i did take them) Which I think is gay! Anyways I talked to the lady at the Estitition school and she said i will beable to get both licenses at the same time when i graduate that. So Beyond hair was no good huh? Are you going to go to USU? Hows Thailand?

I am so sorry! I've had it only a few times, but I have never been so frustrated! Do they have herbal tea there? A peppermint or chamomile herbal tea before bed might help. Also, a good cardio workout early on in the day (however, you probably feel too tired to exercise). Also, reading scriptures puts me right to sleep! =)

Hey guys! I just saw you had a blog and I thought I'd say hi. I have to admit that I'm a little envious of your adventures in Thailand. What an experience! How long are you guys there? We just moved to Virginia... and I can't sleep sometimes with the whole 2 HOUR time change... I can't imagine what you're going through moving half way around the WORLD! I wish you guys the very best! Hope you are well! Give Adam a squeeze for us.

I hate not being able to sleep. Having kids has done that to me. I don't sleep the best anymore. But I have started to do the AM/PM Yoga. I do the PM 20 min workout thing and I am so relaxed after that it is so much easier to fall asleep. I'm still looking for other suggestions too. So if you find anything that works let me know.
